mojomike232's Diaryland Diary ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Dangling Man Time has started to progress impossibly slowly once again as I struggle to find someway to make use of myself until I go to college. I am so bored I downloaded an audiobook by Lenin because I felt like learning about communism and social democracy. Note what's wrong here: I FELT LIKE LEARNING. I am turning into such an old man. I started reading this book by Saul Bellow called "Dangling Man" about a man waiting to be sent off to war and his subsequent mental deterioration. I feel kind of the same way, only, instead of war it's college, and instead of going insane I'm just bored to insanity. But I did find a passage that reflects perfectly nearly every party I've been to and in a broader sense the relationship of my group of friends to some degree. Check out pages twenty-eight to thirty-nine of Dangling man if your interested, it was really bizarre how similar the situation was to some of my own, at least in my eyes.
